Kelly Bentley Dixon is a native New Orleanian, a graduate of Grambling State University obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Juvenile Delinquency, and a Master of Science Degree in Criminology and Law. She is a graduate fellow of the Institute of Politics at Loyola University in New Orleans.

After completing graduate school, Kelly began her professional career of working with At-risk youth and their families, which she has done for over 20 years. While contemplating becoming an Attorney, she completed an internship as a Juvenile Probation officer. There she was drawn to the youth and their families and committed to working in that field. While working in the Social Services field, she has assisted numerous youth and their families through crisis situations and provided them with the tools they needed to maintain a stable and positive home environment.

Kelly has always been the “go-to” person for family, friends, and colleagues. She is often called upon to assist someone who is having a challenging time or is “stuck” in life.

Kelly is often told that she causes people to “think” and look at situations from a perspective that they have not thought of previously.
