Don’t wait to congratulate yourself!

Whew! We made it through the first 33 days of 2020!  How is the progress coming along with your goals and vision?   My prayer is that you have been able to make some progress with your New Year Goals, Resolutions and Vision Boards.  Regardless of what you have committed to do this year, don’t allow anything to stand in the way of you reaching those goals.  If you are like me, you probably have a few goals that you’ve carried from 2019 into 2020.  And that’s fine.  Don’t be too hard on yourself.  Be grateful for another opportunity to complete it.   Try a different method this year.  Do a little research about the goals you are trying to reach and the vision you want to see manifested.  Pray often, seeking God for direction.  Once you have gained clarity, plan your work in small attainable steps.  Yes, you will have to  “put in work”.  Don’t be deceived in to thinking it will be easy.  It may be difficult and it may take longer than you anticipate, but keep working on it.   Remember to stay consistent and persistent about achieving your goals.  Celebrate often!  Don’t wait to congratulate yourself.  The fact that you have goals and a vision are worth celebrating.    I celebrate you!  So many times we get caught up on what has not been done and we forget to celebrate what has.  This year try building on the progress you make, no matter how small, build on it and celebrate it!  If you complete 3 out of 5 tasks, celebrate the 3, knowing you are more than halfway there.  Take the 2 remaining tasks forward into the new week and complete them.  Don’t get stuck in defeat and discouragement.

God is so Gracious, he has allowed us to see a new year and to make it through the first month of the 2020! We owe it to HIM to reach our goals and be fully prepared to see the vision manifested this year.  Take those visions off the board and bring them to life.

Remember these important steps as you move forward, conquer and celebrate!!

    • Plan your work in small attainable steps.  Be reasonable with yourself and your ability.
    • Be consistent and persistent in your work.
    • Don’t wait to congratulate yourself for every step you accomplish.

Let’s make it happen this year!

There is Still Time!!!

As I prepared to write this blog, I thought about how quickly we’ve made it to the month of August! Wow, the 8th month of the year. Seems like we were just celebrating the New Year. But here we are, in the middle of the 8th month of the year. And before you know it, the end of the year will be here.
My thoughts then went to the goals that I set out to complete this year. You know, our list of resolutions, resolves, vision boards, and SMART goals that we committed to at the start of 2018. Yeah those… Well, I’m not here to get on you or to tell you how much time you have wasted, but rather to let you know There is still time! Yes!!! With less than 5, and close to 4 months left in this year. There is still time to accomplish those goals. You may not be able to complete all of them, but if you start, you will be closer to completing them than if you never started. I want to issue you a challenge. Look at your goals, choose 3 of them and commit to completing them before the end of the year. Choose the ones that are most meaningful to you. I promise you, if you get started, you will feel encouraged to complete them. There several things that you can do to assist you with completing those goals:

1. Regroup-Assess where you are and commit to move forward. Life happens, keep moving forward.
2. Schedule a time(daily/weekly) to work on your goals. A consistent time will help you honor your commitment.
3. Invest in an Individual or Group Coaching program. The accountability will help you stay on track to reaching your goals.

I admit, I have strayed away from my initial goals for this year, but I am committed to completing the ones that are most meaningful to me. And I can’t wait to share them with you in the coming weeks.
Life happens and it definitely happened to me these last 6 months. But I am back on track and I am so excited. I promised myself that I would do better by and for myself. I have found the time to assist several individuals and organizations this year, sometimes at the expense of things that I have committed to get done for myself. But I remembered the promises I have made to myself and I owe it to myself to keep those promises and so do you!
So I just wanted to encourage you today and to remind you that There is still time!!.
Let’s get moving!!!!

Stepping into Greatness

A few weeks ago, I had the awesome privilege of sharing a lesson with the ladies at our weekly Bible Study. I am always humbled and honored to share the Word with the people of God. The title of the lesson was “Breaking out of the box and stepping into Greatness. One of the most important points that I shared with the women, which really applies to everyone, is that there is Greatness on the inside of each of us.

As I shared in the W.I.N. last week, we spend so much time, doubting, fearing, questioning, comparing, and hiding, that we fail to recognize the greatness that lies on the inside of us. The naysayers try their hardest to convince us that we don’t have what it takes or we “can’t be serious” about pursuing our dreams. But if we are going to step into greatness and be successful, it is vitally important that we step out of the box that we have allowed them to place us in.

Below are the three things that I shared with the ladies, that we need to recognize in order for us to step into our Greatness!

1. We must recognize that God has a prosperous plan for our life. One that gives us a future and a hope. When must embrace the fact that there is a predestined plan and it is a prosperous one, filled with hope! Hope is defined as something that is desired, can be had. God sees us living prosperously, not just financially prosperous, but prosperous in our health, in our relationships and in every other area of our life. It is a part of His plan that we are prosperous.
2. We must recognize that Good is the enemy of Great! Being just good enough can cause us to commit to complacency. This will, in turn, cause us to live at a level beneath our God-given potential. We stay stuck in “good enough” because it is comfortable and not met with a lot of resistance…and it may be more palatable to those around us. But the Greatness that God predestined for us will force us out of our “good enough’ comfortable place. So we might as well get comfortable with being uncomfortable. God has placed greatness on the inside of each of us to accomplish great things!!! It imperative that we not settle for just being good enough. We must strive for Greatness.
3. We must recognize that OUR TIME IS NOW! Yep! I am reminding you again this week…YOUR TIME IS NOW!!!!! Too much time has passed and too much potential has gone untapped and unfulfilled! Too many missed opportunities, too much second-guessing and too much dimming down of the greatness that God has placed the inside of US. There are people waiting for us to step into our Greatness. There is no better time than now to step into Our Greatness. Everything that we have been through has shaped us for this moment. We are more prepared than we think.

So if this message resonates with you, I challenge you to meditate on these three things, then take a physical step forward, as a symbolic gesture of your step out of the box and a step into Greatness!!!

Start Stepping!!!! Let’sGo!!!!

Defeating Fear and Doubt!!!!!

Whew!!! What a Week!!! There is something about a challenging Monday that sets the tone for the rest of your week. I can’t speak for you, but I have had a very challenging week already! It is usually in those challenging weeks, the thoughts of Fear and Doubt are louder than the thoughts of Strength and Confidence! You begin to question if you are on the right track? Did you make the right decision? Have you missed your window of opportunity? Has too much time passed for you to live out your dreams? Should I just give up and go back to what is comfortable for me? And on, and on and on…

When those times come, I recite these Affirmations throughout the day to remind myself that “YOU’VE GOT THIS!!!!!” I have found that when I look into the mirror and recite these affirmations, I am encouraged, strengthened and motivated to keep moving forward toward success. I would like to share my statements of affirmation with you. My hope is that they will assist you in quieting the voice of Fear and Doubt and while turning up the volume on Strength and Confidence!

I am STRONGER than I think! I’ve GOT this!!!!!

I am VALUABLE and I am WORTH it!!!!

My TIME is NOW!!!! EMBRACE it!!!

Trust the Process and Plan of God!!!!

One of my favorite scriptures is Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.

In short, this is a promise that says if I trust God, and not try to figure it out on my own, He will direct me. I know what you are thinking, easier said than done…But if you remember these three things, it will help you trust the Process and Plan of God.

*Trust Him wholeheartedly
The Webster’s dictionary actually defines the word trust as- assured reliance on the character, ability, strength or truth in someone or something. One in which confidence is placed. It is imperative that we trust God, wholeheartedly, not half-heartedly, or only in times of need or challenge. But willingly place our confidence in Him. And once we place our trust in Him, leave it there.
Scripture also encourages us to trust in the One that never changes- and that is God.
*Acknowledge that we need Him
We must understand that we are incapable of effectively directing our lives alone. There are several sources and resoures that would liken themselves as the guiding force of our life. Some have the potential to guide us to destruction. We have the potential to continue to make all kinds of mistakes and missteps. Therefore,we must acknowledge that we need God daily. We need him to protect and guide us every second of every day. If we only give God credit some of the time we are saying to Him that we only need Him sometimes or not at all. How many of you think that you can make it without God’s help? If so, how is that working for you?
*Get direction for your life
This is a promise from God. He Keeps His word!!! It would be much easier for you to live life confidently knowing that God is directing you.
When we trust and acknowledge Him, we are then positioned to receive direction from Him.
Trust the Process of His Plan, It’s one that Promises to Prosper You!!!!

That’s A WIN,WIN!!!
